This script reads a page from your own(or another’s) portfolio and creates a list of up to 100 blogs from that folder.
It’s aim is to help with keeping your outgoing links value at the ‘perfect’ level. Outgoing links hold a value and are ‘boosted’ at a certain level, this used to be around 3x incoming links would get the boost. i.e if you had 12 incomings you’d need 36 outgoings to achieve a boost. If you only had 6 outgoings you’d need to find 30 blogs to link to from your blog.
That’s where this script steps in. The outgoing boost also affects the price of the blog to which you are linking. Therefore it makes sense to link to blogs you already have in your portfolio, why give someone else the spoils?
Limitations – it only gets the first 100 blogs sorted alphabetically from a folder. If you want specific blogs included, move them into a new folder of their own.
Output is in a non-overflowing div box which when inserted into your blog’s sidebar should just show “Boosted Links Hidden Here!” (see it in action on this blogs front page, in the Blogshares Links section on the right sidebar).
